Professional Real Estate Valuation

Mark A. Lewis graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA Degree in General Business and began his appraisal career in 1984 as a contract appraiser and now as President of Lewis & Seely Appraisals LLC. He has appraised property in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Alabama.

In 1999, Mark was awarded the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation and in 2014 was awarded the Real Property Review Appraiser (RPRA) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). He is also an AQB certified USPAP instructor. Mark has authored several appraisal courses and seminars and is a faculty member of the ASFMRA regularly instructing courses in real estate appraisal.

Mark’s regular clients include lending institutions, pension funds, government agencies, attorneys, as well as numerous private individuals. In addition to traditional appraisal assignments, he also regularly performs review appraisal assignments. He has experience in appraisals and/or review appraisals for litigation purposes and has been qualified as an expert witness in County, District, and Federal courts.

Charles “Scott” Seely graduated from Texas A & M University with a B.S. Degree in Agricultural Economics and began his appraisal career with Texas General Land Office. Mr. Seely is one of the founding principal officers of Lewis & Seely Appraisals Inc., a full service appraisal firm based in Lufkin, Texas. He has appraised property in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, and Alaska.

In 1979, Scott was awarded the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and in 1983, he was awarded the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. He is also an AQB certified USPAP instructor and is a former board member of The Appraisal Foundation’s Appraiser Qualifications Board. Scott has authored several appraisal courses and seminars and is a faculty member of the ASFMRA and the Appraisal Institute regularly instructing courses in real estate appraisal.

Stacy W. Jackson began his real estate career in 2001 and has built a professional brand specializing in agricultural, rural, and complex land valuation. He holds both the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) — a dual credential that places him among a distinguished tier of valuation professionals. Prior to his appraisal career, Stacy served on active duty in the United States Navy and later worked for a national defense contractor.

Stacy is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Colorado, with additional work extending into Wyoming and Montana. His work covers a broad range of rural and agricultural property types, including conservation-oriented lands, investment-grade timber, horse and cattle ranches, cropland, recreational properties, and industrial agricultural facilities such as poultry production and processing operations, feed mills, and hydroponic production systems. His Mountain West region work has focused on high-value legacy ranch and recreational properties, frequently involving water rights, conservation encumbrances, and public land components.

He also regularly provides litigation support, including expert witness testimony, and handles assignments under the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (UASFLA/Yellow Book). His litigation work includes damages assignments involving diminution in value arising from severed property rights, wildfire, flooding, nuisance, and other detrimental conditions.

In addition to his valuation practice, Stacy has been an active contributor to the profession at the national level, serving since 2020 as a Subject Matter Expert to the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation. He is a faculty member of the ASFMRA and has instructed courses across the country.

Stacy's clients include attorneys, government agencies, real estate trusts and investment organizations, private individuals and families, and lending institutions.

Erica L. Harding has been involved in all facets of agriculture since she was born. This primarily occurred because her father, grandfather, and uncle were all vocational agriculture teachers. She was very active in 4-H and FFA while growing up in the pine timber region of west Louisiana and served as a state FFA officer during her senior year of high school. All this led to her decision to pursue a career in the field that she had been passionate about almost her whole life.

She was awarded a bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2002 and a master's degree in Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness in 2004, with both degrees hailing from Louisiana State University. She was awarded the Outstanding Female Senior by the LSU College of Agriculture in 2002. Since graduation, she has frequently returned to both LSU and McNeese State University to perform guest lectures in senior-level agricultural economics courses addressing factors that influence the real estate market in our region. She continues to influence the next generation of agricultural professionals by serving on the LSU College of Agriculture alumni board as well.

Erica L. Harding began her appraisal career in 2011 as a staff appraiser with Louisiana Land Bank with appraisal assignments extending across Louisiana and Mississippi. She has appraised typical production agriculture properties, poultry farms, specialized livestock facilities, highly improved recreational properties, conservation easements, and rural residential homes.

Erica is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, with additional work extending into Arkansas. She is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and is an advanced candidate for the ARA designation. She is currently an officer for the Mid-South Chapter of ASFMRA, a member of the Membership Advisory Group, and was chosen to complete the Leadership Excellence Program for 2025-26.

Chris Adams is the founder of Visions Forestry, LLC, which is a natural resource consulting firm located in Lufkin, Texas that strives to meet landowner goals and directives for both conventional and non-conventional multi-resource management projects that include forestland and conservation/mitigation projects.

A practicing forester for more than 25 years within multiple aspects of forest resource management utilizing the latest technology (forest resource assessments/valuations, multi-resource planning, forest product sales, reforestation, tax basis analyses, baseline assessments, expert witness and financial analyses) for private forest landowners, timber investment groups, lending institutions, land trusts, municipalities and federal/state agencies throughout Texas & Louisiana.

Additional experience includes planning, implementation and reporting on large scale resource valuation projects (emphasis on timberland) in conjunction with rural land appraisals for real estate acquisitions and dispositions throughout the south.

Mr. Adams received his Texas Appraiser Trainee Certification in July 2019 and has been obtaining appraiser training hours with the assistance of Lewis & Seely Appraisals, Inc.

Brandi Turner graduated from Angelina College with an A.S. Degree in General Business and began her appraisal career in 2003, as a residential specialist. She regularly provides residential appraisal services primarily in Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties, Texas.

Brandi holds is a Certified Residential Appraiser and is also FHA approved. Her clients include appraisal management companies, lenders, attorneys, individuals.
